 Maverick Biofuels is a second-generation biofuels and bioplastics company that uses proven technology to convert biomass, MSW, coal and natural gas into petroleum-free fuels and plastics. Our novel technology creates an olefin intermediate that can be used to produce multiple high-value products, such as mixed-alcohol fuels, propylene, and jet fuel.
Maverick’s mixed-alcohol biofuel is a superior replacement for ethanol in fuel blends and can eliminate the use of gasoline in flexible-fuel vehicles. Maverick’s technology is also applicable to other feedstocks, such as natural gas and coal. Furthermore, Maverick’s technology can be utilized to produce polypropylene, a valuable plastics polymer.
Maverick’s biofuels are less expensive to produce than first generation biofuels, while having significantly higher energy content.. The Maverick process requires less energy and converts a greater percentage of feedstock into sellable products, which leads to greater greenhouse gas reductions and higher profits.

Our management team includes individuals with significant experience in green chemistry, biofuels, project management, operations management, technology development, and start-up ventures. From a scientific, business, and legal perspective, we have significant experience in gas-to-liquid technologies, petroleum chemistry, organic chemistry, business, corporate finance, and legal issues surrounding early-stage companies.
